This was my first time scuba diving in the ocean.  I was certified the weekend before I left for Hawaii in a private quarry in the middle of missouri.  The water was so cloudy I could barely see my hand in front of my face, so swimming in the clear water of hawaii was amazing. 

Everyone I was scuba diving with had years of experience.  So when it came time to go diving I was so excited that I sucked all my air in half the time as everyone else.  It didn’t matter though because I still had a great time.  The highlight of the dive was a underwater cavern 60 feet down called the Cathedral.  Inside the light from above shines through the rocks and create a stained glass effect, plus there is a giant rock in the middle that resembles a church pulpit.
